Chrysoprase Gold Solitaire Ring

$62.25 $83.00

Called the stone of Venus, Chrysoprase was used by the Greeks, Romans and Egyptians to make seals, signets, jewelry and other ornamental objects because of its vivid color. Used extensively during the Art Nouveau era with Egyptian revival jewelry in the 1920's.

Chrysoprase is one of the birthstones for May and according to folklore, the stone carries the "vibration of Divine Truth" and helps to increase joy and happiness. Attuned with the heart chakra, chrysoprase is said to help heal a broken heart by providing a gentle boost to your self-esteem, equalizing emotional balance and fostering acceptance of change and tolerance for others.

Said to instill the wearer with poise and grace – mentally, chrysoprase encourages non-judgmental attitudes, can reduce superiority and inferiority complexes and help avoid speaking out unthinkingly in anger. Said to bolster clarity of thought and creativity by attracting abundance and success in new ventures and to help promote fidelity within business.

High quality polished round cabochon is bezel set on a 14k gold fill 1mm band.

    Care instructions

Forged and cut brass items have a "living finish" meaning they are unsealed, allowing them to develop a unique patina over time. If you wish to maintain the original bright finish, you can use a jewelry polishing cloth to clean from time to time. I recommend one like Fabulustre. If you've let the patina develop but want to quickly bring it back to original brightness, a product like Brasso (found in most hardware stores and some grocers) works very well and is very fast and inexpensive.

    14K Gold-Filled – what is it?

Gold-filled is minimum 5% fine metal cladding over base metal and does not de-laminate or peel like plated or "dipped" products. Nor does it tarnish as readily as silver. Many owners find that they never have to clean gold-filled items at all. However, from time to time your jewelry may become dirty from everyday wear. To clean gold-filled it is best to use mild soap and water. Hot weather and water will not damage the material.

Generally speaking, gold filled is better quality and will have a much longer lasting color than plated jewelry which contains only a scant fraction of gold comparatively.
